The minting of Ladislaus I is dominated by denarii whose obverse is a bust with the ruler's name in the rim, while the reverse is a building with three towers topped with crosses (in a plain border, with CRACOV+ in the rim). Deviations from this type occur only occasionally, and this piece is one of them.
A very rare type with asymmetrical ornamentation of the towers. The left tower ends with a ball, the central one with a cross, and the right one with a ball and beam.
Variety with plain border on the reverse, on the obverse with a caricature portrait of the ruler.
Very nice, with local deficiency.
