The minting of Ladislaus I is dominated by denarii whose obverse is a bust with the ruler's name in the rim, while the reverse is a building with three towers topped with crosses (in a plain border, with CRACOV+ in the rim). Deviations from this type occur only occasionally, and this piece is one of them.
A very rare type with a triple reverse ottoman (two corded ones with a row of pearls between them).
It was present in our offering last time during the sale of an outstanding medieval collection (at 10 auctions in 2020).
Minting imperfections, but the coin is nicely preserved, with a slight luster.
Silver, diameter 13.5 mm, weight 0.53 g.
