Lot description
Grade: AU
Reference: Kopicki 53.- (R2), Stronczyński T.43.-

An impressive and highly rare variety of the "eagle and hare" denarius.

A distinctive and highly valued type with the representation of a knight (prince) with his face straight ahead (en face), instead of facing the captive.

Here in an uncommon commercial variation - a figure of a knight with a helmet on his head, with the letter Z on the right side. And on the reverse with three additional bullets.

For the first time in our offer.

A variety absent from many fine museum collections.

Very nicely preserved. With natural mint luster. No doubt on the MS note in grading.

Silver, diameter 13.8 mm, weight 0.62 g.
