A rare numismatic coin with an interesting provenance.
The coin comes from the private collection of Jadwiga Zakrzewska-Kleczkowska (1910-1985). Daughter of the well-known numismatist-medievalist Prof. Zygmunt Zakrzewski. Jadwiga shared her father's numismatic interests from an early age . Later she continued the family numismatic traditions, and was active inthe work of numismatic societies at home and abroad, in particular, being active in the circles of Polish and Czechoslovak numismatists.After her father's death and in accordance with his last will, she donated his unique collection of Piast coins to the National Museum in Cracow. This auction features a small group of various types of numismatic coins from her private collection.
On the reverse around the shield three trilobes, in the rim MOLDAVIENSS.
