A very interesting coin of great rarity.
Imitation of the first type of brakteats of the Teutonic Order.
An item about which Boris Paszkiewicz 9 years ago wrote:"This coin is available today in only one piece in the National Museum in Cracow...". Friedensburg considered a Teutonic obol. In light of the latest knowledge, attributed to the Polish territory, being most likely a Danzig-Pomeranian issue.
Very well minted, although with a mirror image of the monastic minting (as well as smaller).
Rarity.
Ex. Marciniak auction 6 (item 2166, 2018, sold for PLN 2,760).
Clearly rarer than regular issues.
Recommended.
Silver, diameter 18 mm, weight 0.20 g.
