A nice piece of a ducat, a desirable collectible denomination.
In 1792, after the death of Efraim Brenn, the Mint Commission decided to break with the previous tradition of placing the initials of the administrators on the coins. It was decided to designate the Mint, depending on the language used on the coin - M.V. (Monetaria Varsoviensis) or M.W. (Warsaw Mint).
And such a change is observed on the 1792 ducats, of which they are known to have varieties with the letters E.B. under the wreath and M.V. (valued higher in catalogs).
Gold, diameter 21 mm, weight 3.45 g.
