First vintage of the half-golden coin, a denomination introduced by the Universal of February 10, 1766.
A very nice piece. On the inscription side probably once rubbed. Beautiful reverse. The coin well, deeply struck.
Variety with 8 laurel leaves (similar to 16.a), with reverse with broad letter M, no dot after GR.
