A very rare issue.

In 1828, the mint in St. Petersburg minted its first platinum coins. They are precisely the three rubles, the issuance of which lasts only during the reign of Czar Nicholas I. Minted in low mintages are denominations from 3 to 12 rubles. It is never later renewed.

Circulating piece, polished (polished).

Platinum, diameter 23 mm, weight 10.15 g.
