Lot description
Grade: UNC/AU
Reference: Parchimowicz P.242.a

The only one among all the nickel samples of the communist period coin with the crowned eagle!

Unique against the background of all this minting.

Also distinguished by the twice placed inscription SAMPLE (on both sides). There is a humorous anecdote circulating among numismatists that the Mint's employees at the time were so afraid of minting coins with the crowned eagle that they decided to "protect themselves" by just adding the second inscription.

Minted with a spot of tarnish near the king's head.
