A distinctly rarer variety of the first PRL brass zloty.
Differing in the arrangement of the PRÓBA inscription - instead of above the wreath, it is placed low, at 4 o'clock.
Mint, in a light patina.
The first samples made on this initiative were circulating aluminum coins (from 5 pennies to 1 zloty) with the inscription SAMPLE struck concave. It was only after "protests" by PTAiN members that it was decided to replace them with brass coins made in an edition of 100 pieces (more on this subject in the catalog"Polish Proof Coins 1949-1990" by J.Parchimowicz).Brass, diameter 25 mm, weight 6.71 g.
