Polished.
A distinctly rarer variant of the first PRL brass gold coin.
It differs in the arrangement of the PRÓBA inscription - instead of above the wreath, it is placed low, at 4 o'clock. The first attempts made on this initiative were circulating aluminum coins (from 5 pennies to 1 zloty) with the inscription SAMPLE struck concave. It was only after "protests" by PTAiN members that it was decided to replace them with brass coins made in an edition of 100 pieces (more on this subject in the catalog"Polish Proof Coins 1949-1990" by J.Parchimowicz).
