A distinctly rarer variety of the first PRL brass zloty.
It differs in the arrangement of the PRÓBA inscription - instead of above the wreath, it is placed low, at 4 o'clock.
The first attempts made on this initiative were circulating aluminum coins (from 5 pennies to 1 zloty) with the inscription SAMPLE struck concave. Only after "protests" by PTAiN members was it decided to replace them with brass coins made in an edition of 100 pieces (more on this subject in the catalog"Polish Proof Coins 1949-1990" by J.Parchimowicz).
Very nice, naturally yellow, with a single spot of light rust behind the eagle's wing.
Brass, diameter 24.9 mm, weight 6.68 g.
