A very interesting half-penny. Great stylistically, but with visibly weaker core metal, which can be seen in the light rubbing of the highest parts of the relief on the date or the crown tip, among others.
According to Sigismund the Old's minting specialist, Gregory Romanczyk, this is a very rare period forgery in such condition.
However, the quality of workmanship, its style, would indicate a mint product.
The coin is protected by a thin layer of varnish.
