The rarest Danzig trojak of King Sigismund.
Historically the first trojak coin minted in this city.
The trojak has been difficult to buy for years. As early as 1890, Count Tyszkiewicz valued it noticeably higher than the other vintages - at 30 marks, and the others several times less (between 8 mk and just 1.2 mk!). Very rare also today. First time in our offer. In the Onebid archive only 6 pieces listed since 1992!
Wanted not only for being the first trojak of Gdansk, but also for the type of portrait. With the bust appearing only in 1535 and early 1536.
A variation with the titulature with SIGIS P (from PRIMUS - first), not a Roman numeral, and the legend ending with PRVSS.
