One of the rarest varieties of the first vintage of the Lithuanian pennies of Sigismund I.
Annotated with the degree of rarity -RRRR- in Ivanauskas' catalog.
Distinguished by the reverse of the first type (without the letter under the Pogo, the mint mark of the trifoliate), but a new obverse (different eagle typeface, a trifoliate instead of a clover at the top).
Legends ended with LiTVA / LITVANI.
In addition, very nice state of preservation. Shallower minting characteristic of these broad pennies, but very good legibility, better than the piece illustrated in the above catalog. Preserved luster.
Given the rarity of the variety, a very attractive numismat.
