A beautiful coin.
Unlisted variant. Obverse exactly the same as Dutkowski 42 (R8). Reverse most similar to Dutkowski 41 (R7), same content of legends and punctuation, but different arrangement with respect to imagery (here the mint mark directly above Filip Klüwer's monogram, in var. 41 clearly shifted to the left of it).
Ducat of Sigismund III minted at the Danzig mint under the direction of Filip Klüwer (with his monogram over the shield).
Variety with obverse legend, with the Swedish king's titulary and the numeral 3 (instead of III) after the ruler's name.
Very rare, especially in this state of preservation.
SIGIS 3 D G REX POL ET SVE D P
Reverse: coat of arms of Gdansk held by two lions, above them a monogram, in the rim a legend started with a mint mark:
MONE NO AVR CIVI GEDANENSIS 95
