Lot description
Grade: VF+
Reference: Górecki B.14.1.a (F3), Kopicki 827 (R3), Nieczitajło... 37 (R4)

The first type of half-track minted on Polish soil: with an eagle on the obverse and a royal apple on the reverse.

The first half-talers were minted at the Bydgoszcz mint. They were characterized by a double marking of the denomination expressed in the thaler fraction (Z4), which was changed quite quickly (they are rarer than the halftrack with the eagle and the denomination expressed in the number 3).

Today these halftones are very rare and sought-after coins.

Nice luster. Doubled minting on the reverse.
