One of the rarest orts of Sigismund III.
1620 is the vintage that began the issuance of this denomination in the Crown. Minted before their mass production began at this mint, in 1621.
Needy and absent from many typological collections. It is not only a very rare vintage, but also the only ort characterized by the initials II - VE placed on the sides of the coat of arms shield, above the date. The initials belonged to the tenant of the mint, Jacob Jacobson van Emden.
This is the coin that Tyszkiewicz gave a high valuation and a question mark (which meant that he did not meet it in the trade), and Marian Gumowski described with these words:"are incredibly rare and are undoubtedly proof specimens."
Here additionally in very nice condition. Well minted, with the patina of the former collection adding to the charm.
Silver, diameter 29.5 mm, weight 6.84 g.
