An impressive imitation, or forgery of the period, of the crown orta of Sigismund III.
Executed in an advanced workshop - stylistically good, though with errors in the legends.
Stamped, in good silver, and not, as is typical for forgeries, in copper/bronze only bleached on the outside.
Piece of imitation orta from the same workshop is presented in a recent study by Igor Shatalin (item SI-2).
A rare numismatic piece. A great addition to the collection. Very nice state of preservation.
Silver, diameter 30 mm, weight 6.38 g.
