Piece with a trace of a removed pendant (above the king's head), but no spins from wear, with nice detail.
A very rare and valued variety.
Thaler with an error in the king's name - SISGIS instead of the correct SIGIS.
The variety, whose description in an article in the Bulletin (7-12/1988) by Janusz Kurpiewski began as follows:
"A very significant error, if one considers that it occurs on the obverse of the thickest, representative silver coin and to top it off - in the royal name...".
In the company's history to date, we have had a thaler with this error only 1 time (at 6 auctions, 6 years ago!).
Ex. Karl Stephens (1985).
Silver, diameter 42 mm, weight 28.49 g.
