While 1607 Krakow Trojaks in commerce appear very rarely, they are encountered in this variety once every few or even a dozen years.
Trojak 1607 of the variety with the Lewart coat of arms inscribed in an ornate oval shield, instead of the more popular straight one.
Practically unheard of in the trade.
This is confirmed by the archives of Polish companies, where this variant has occurred only 2 times over the years (2014 and 2015).
Legend variant with POLO (instead of POLON) on the obverse, not described in Iger's "Catalogue of Trojans".
Very nice condition.
Recommended.
The last vintage among Kraków trojaks minted in the first period of minting this denomination in Kraków (1600-1607). Kraków resumed issuing trojaks only after ~10 years, minting trojaks visibly smaller, containing less silver, than those of earlier years. Successively displacing the former, better money.
