One of the most valuable trojak of Sigismund III Vasa.
Very rare, the first type of triplets. With an iconography different from all later trojaks.
A distinctive issue differing in reverse iconography from the arrangements of the mint ordinance. Without a denomination marking, but with a five-field shield of arms centrally, and the king's titulature, instead of the term"silver triple penny of the kingdom of Poland". Issued very briefly, as evidenced by the prevalence of triples with a three-line inscription on the reverse.
Variety with a narrow king's head and full date on the sides of the shield in horizontal writing (1-5 / 8-8). Very highly rated both in old catalogs - Czapski R7 - and contemporary ones.
Issued at the mint of Nicolas Hevel de Colpino (with his mark next to the crown), during the period of the activity of the Crown Treasurer Jan Dulski (Przegonia coat of arms and initials I-D at the bottom of the shield).
This isthe first time in our offer.
We had a Trojak with a shield only once in our history (auction at the Royal Castle, st.3, sold for 33,600 zlotys), but it was a bust struck on more stamps (with a large head of the king).

Obverse: bust of the king wearing a crown, in armor with an orifice, facing right. In the rim:

Reverse: crowned five-field shield of arms over Przegonia, on the sides the date 1-5 | 8-8. In the rim:
