Lot description
Grade: XF
Reference: Parchimowicz 25.a2, Kopicki 490.a (R5), Tyszkiewicz 18 mk

A rare and valued coin in very nice condition.

Mint fresh art, only with scarcity common for these coins. Here not a big one, but on a royal portrait. Preserved natural luster, light patina. A charming coin.

The first type of crown pennies of King Stefan Batory.

A distinctive issue with an eagle with the king's family crest, instead of the shield of the Republic on the reverse.

A variant with a narrow ruler's head (not separated at the top of the legend). Variant with POLON on the obverse.
