A very rare variation of the Riga triplet.
This is a portrait type introduced in 1584, but given its rarity today, introduced most likely at the end of the year. Continued in 1585, when it was already pressed on a larger scale.
Bust of the king without epaulettes, with riveted collar and catfish moustache.
Very nice state of preservation.
