This is one of those trojaks not found in commerce.
An Olkusz trojak with the mint mark"Half-Left" beginning the king's titulature.
Valued by Tyszkiewicz at 80 mk, which is on the level of the rarest varieties of Olkusz trojak 1580. Many times higher than other trojaks from 1581-1586 (80 mk, compared to 1.5-3 mk).
"Half-leaf" is a mysterious mint mark that appears in 1584 and disappears very quickly. It appears only on a small group of 1584 trojaks, with a distinctive portrait separating the titulature at the bottom. It never later returns on coins. So far, it has not been attributed to any government official or mint employee.
A variety with the titulature separated by a royal bust after D G, before REX).
