One of the best Teutonic Order coins we have had on offer in our history to date.
The first penny of Albrecht Hohenzollern in excellent state of preservation.
Coin with preserved beautiful luster, very well minted.
Very rare, not only because of its beauty.
The pennies of this ruler, minted from 1513 onward, are coins that survived the economically devastating war with Poland (1519-1521), the loss of their real value (the undersampling of silver, the so-called Tippelgroschen) and their exchange for new money already after the collapse of the monastic state in 1525. This contributed to their rarity today and their few quotations on the antiquarian market.
High degree of rarity in Kopicki. First time in our offer.
