Beautifully preserved, the first penny of Albrecht Hohenzollern.
Very rare, especially in such states of preservation.
Brilliantly minted, with a mint luster background.
The pennies of this ruler, minted from 1513 onward, are coins that survived the economically devastating war with Poland (1519-1521), the loss of their real value (the undersampling of silver, the so-called Tippelgroschen) and their exchange for new money already after the collapse of the monastic state in 1525. This contributed to their rarity today and their few quotations on the antiquarian market.
Kopicki's high degree of rarity.
