Lot description
Grade: XF+
Reference: Paszkiewicz T.6, Kopicki 8991 (R1)

A beautiful coin.

The first issue of brakteates with a representation of the crown. A motif that recurs on monastic coins in the mid-14th century.

One of his interpretations was that the crown was meant to be a symbol of Königsberg, which Paszkiewicz disagrees with. In his opinion, it is probably a Marian symbol or an expression of the Order's political aspirations.

Ex. 16 PDA auction.

Silver, diameter 17 mm, weight 0.20 g.
