Kazimierz Kierzkowski - a.k.a. "Kazimierz I", "Prezes" (1890-1942) major of the Polish Army and the Home Army, social and political activist, decorated with the Order of Virtuti Militari. He fought in the Polish Legions, led the Riflemen's Association and co-founded the White Eagle Organization. During the German occupation he was arrested and murdered in Auschwitz-Birkenau.
