Patriotic ring from the period of the formation of independent Poland. On the outer side engraved: 1914 POLSKIE LEGIONY 16/VII. In the central part fixed eagle. One of the first rings commemorating the formation of the Polish Legions, through the efforts of the Polish Samaritan, issued by the Treasury Department of the NKN (Branch II in Cracow). They were used to exchange for gold rings or bullion.
The ring is probably tapered, as evidenced by the joining trace between the words POLISH / LEGIONS (location visible in photos).
