Massive, impressive medallion cast in the Znicz factory.
High quality workmanship. Original cast, numbered (No 190) with a beautiful composition. In the ribbon wrapping the wreath skillfully incorporated the names of the greatest works of the bard and his name - ADAM MICKIEWICZ.
Obverse: in decorative laurel wreath bust of the poet in front, on the wreath inscription ADAM MICKIEWICZ, on the ribbon entwining the wreath names of the greatest works PAN MICHAEL, DZIADY, GRAZYNA, FARYS, KONRAD-WALLENROD), at the bottom on the ribbon dates 1798-1898, at the top symbols of poetry (book, lyre, pen, rose wreath).
Reverse: RESERVED / ZNICZ / No. 190.
Very rare in this form. Usually found in the form of secondary, inferior castings.
