Medal by Heinrich Paul Groskurt, made to commemorate the establishment of the Order of the White Eagle. The medal is undated, but according to Martin Heidemann's latest findings, it was "created in 1721 or just before the Order holidays in 1718 and 1720" (For the Fatherland and the Nation, p.161). Previously, the medal was dated 1705/1706 according to the date the order was established, and 1713 based on the form of the insignia suspended from the throne.

Obverse: Bust of the king with flowing hair, to the right, in the rim legend:
D.G.AVGVSTVS II.REX POLON.ELECT.SAXON.(By God's Grace Augustus II King of Poland Elector of Saxony).

Reverse: Order of the White Eagle suspended from a royal throne crowned with a crown and two eagles, in the rim:
RESTAVRATOR ORDINIS AQVILAE ALBAE(Restorer of the Order of the White Eagle).

Signed under the portrait GROSKURT.
