Obverse: bust of the astronomer to the right, in the rim an inscription: HE STRAIGHTENED THE SUN INTRODUCED THE EARTH - POLISE EXPANDED HIS PLEMIA, at the bottom UR. 1473; UM. 1543.
Reverse: horizontal inscription in ten lines: TO MICHAEL | COPERNIK | IN THE FOURTEEN YEARS | ANNIVERSARY | BIRTH OF A BIRTH | IN THE POLISH EARTH | OF THE YEAR OF PAIN | MDCCCLXXIII. | HONOR IS DEDICATED | THE FAMILIARIES., in the rim the signs of the zodiac.
