An impressive medallion of the Second Republic period.
This is an excellent quality casting of the State Mint, especially for a value of this size (almost 40 cm in diameter!). Probably made in 1927, on the occasion of the realization of the medal commemorating Antoni Władysław Gluzinski - minted to commemorate his 70th birthday and almost half a century of scientific and medical work. He was one of the leading internists and pathologists of the period, an academic teacher at famous universities (Jagiellonian, Warsaw, Lviv).
