The first of the denarii from a specialized collection of early , medieval Polish coins. One of four denarii of Bold, with his representation in a crown, presenting a variety of his depiction.
The present one is a variety with a classical, "dignified" bust of the king. The face between the thin sword in front and the letter Z under the cross.
A rare royal denarius, minted in 1076-1079, whose character is emphasized by the crown on the monarch's head.
Very nice. Evenly, Deeply minted. In patina.
Silver, diameter 13.8 mm, weight 0.85 g.
