Lot description
Grade: AU
Reference: Parchimowicz P.230.b

The most valuable of the series of brass samples of circulation coins of the communist era.

One of two proofs complementing the 1949-57 brass proofs. Differing in form, as the denominations introduced in 1958 (2 and 5 gold) were not marked with a concave SAMPLE inscription, and it was placed on the stamp (as a result, it is convex on the coin).

A few small rust spots on the surface, but otherwise without remarks. Beautiful and natural in a clear, natural yellow.

Very rare sample.

Brass, diameter 29 mm, weight 9.90 g.
