Second vintage of Danzig's municipal pennies with a portrait of Batory.
A very nice piece, with a natural mint surface luster. Embossed on a cylinder press, which came to the city with the return of Jan Goebel to the city.
With the year 1579, the style of Danzig pennies changes. The reverse, which is a continuation of the style from the siege pennies, gives way to a Renaissance shield with the coat of arms of Gdansk, and the royal portrait also changes.
Variety without stars in the rim.
