Marian Jaroslaw Brochwicz-Trawinski (1896-1963) was born in Goraninek near Lesniewo. He took an active part in the Greater Poland Uprising, organizing the Kórnik company and commanding its operations in Poznań. He also fought in the Polish-Bolshevik war, and later served in the military aviation, including in Puck and Krakow. After 1932 he lived in Gdynia, where he worked in the harbor master's office. He was decorated with the Cross of Valor and the Cross of Independence, among other awards. Died in 1963 in Gdansk, buried in Sopot.
