Extremely interesting album with a collection of photos of soldiers of the 2nd Grochow Uhlans Regiment and the 1st Estonian Hussars Regiment.
Officers of the 2nd Grochow Uhlans Regiment, after receiving permission from the Ministry of Military Affairs in July 1927 and the official conclusion of the brotherhood of arms in May 1928, were granted the right to wear the badge of the 1st Estonian Hussars Regiment and, at the same time, officers of the 1st Estonian Hussars Regiment were allowed to wear the badge of the 2nd Grochow Uhlans Regiment. The photos included in this album emphatically show that the soldiers took advantage of this opportunity.
One photo peeled off, addressed to Marcin Freyman - a certified cavalry major, who was a member of the 2nd Grochow Uhlans Regiment. Probably the offered album also belonged to him. You can read more about Maj. Marcin Freyman here and here. Marcin Freyman himself, shown in one photo.
In terms of photographs, many very rare and virtually unheard of photographs.
Dimensions of the album: 38 x 28 cm.
Very good state of preservation.
