Impressive, large and very rare.
This is the first plaque dedicated to Marshal Pilsudski, in an unprecedented design measuring 25x17 cm.
The Warsaw Mint during the Second Republic minted a series of beautiful plaques commemorating important people, among others, which today constitute a very interesting, but difficult to complete collectors' section. She minted them mainly in two versions (small ~3x4 cm and large ~6x9 cm). In addition to the two standard sizes, she also made larger, poured versions for special/private orders. Given their rarity today, these orders could not have been many.
For the first time in our offer.
The present one additionally with an interesting provenance. It represented the 1st prize in the NCO competition of the 7th Artillery Group, in 1933 (engraving on the Marshal's arm).
Bronze, dimensions: 25.7 x 17 cm
