A rare variety featuring paper with a watermarkof the " " figure, the Gdańsk coat of arms, and the inscription "DANZIG."
Clearly rarer than the typical paper with interlacing squares.
Shown here in variant A— with the watermark as it should appear (DANZIG spelled correctly).
Paper with this watermark is typical of the November issue. As stated in Czesław Miłczak’s catalog,“The 10 pfg bond dated November 1, 1923, does not exist. During the preparation of the second issue, the typefaces for the date were not changed. Thus, two October issues were created (an earlier one and a later one).”
