Photographic proofs of unissued 1.000 leva 1925. Very similar to circulating note (Pick 48a), but on face, the space between the denomination (1000) and inscription: СОФИЯ 1925 is smaller than on Pick 48a. Surely one of the latest projects of 1.000 leva note.
Size of proofs: 185 x 86 mm.
In
2014, the english auction house SPINK sold photographic archives of
nowadays nonexistent printing works BRADBURY WILKINSON & CO. These
archives included photographic copies of projects of notes, which were
to be printed, but the project resulted in failure and, as a result,
these notes never went into circulation.
