One of three specially prepared Second Polish Republic banknotes from 1924. Issued directly by the Ministry of the Treasury (rather than by a central bank). They supplemented the money supply at a time when there was a noticeable shortage of coins on the market. Denominations ranging from 1 to 50 groszy were issued at that time, but only the three highest denominations (10, 20, and 50 groszy) were not reprints.
