The last available half-taler of the Republic of Poland.
A distinctive issue minted after a several-year hiatus in the issuance of this denomination, following a reduction in the silver fineness of these coins (from 20 pieces of the Cologne grzywna to 20 7/8 half-thalers of the grzywna). This type is distinguished by a new design of the royal portrait and the coat-of-arms shield (rectangular instead of oval). It is the last half-thaler bearing the initials of Efraim Brenn.
A coin that has clearly been in circulation, but without any unusual flaws.
Silver, diameter 33.5 mm, weight 13.40 g.
