The last vintage of Olkusz shekels in the history of this mint.
In 1594, the Olkusz mint limits its monetary issues by ceasing to produce both pennies and shekels, focusing its production on trojaks. In the last vintage of shekels, it minted them using two methods: the cylinder method and the traditional stamp method. The present piece is from the latter.
A variety with an abbreviated date in the rim, and the shields of the coat of arms large and decorated.
A truly rare shellac.
