Knight's Cross of the Order of Virtuti Militari (3rd class).
A beautiful government-issued piece, numbered on the reverse (No. 57). Never awarded, from the Order’s Chapter reserves, manufactured before 1939. Four-part design, with separate medallions on the obverse and reverse. Crafted in the Krupski & Matulewicz workshop, Warsaw.
The original ribbon with a clasp, from the government order, is preserved; the ribbon already shows slight fraying of the fibers, as seen in the photo (common for this type).
The overall condition of the entire piece is excellent.
A rare item.
Gilded and enameled bronze, dimensions: 44.5 x 44 mm.
