A rare, last vintage penny in the history of the Teutonic Order.
The pennies of this ruler, minted from 1513 onward, are coins that survived the economically devastating war with Poland (1519-1521), the loss of their real value (undersampling of silver, the so-called Tippelgroschen) and exchange for new money already after the collapse of the monastic state in 1525. This contributed to their rarity today and few listings on the antiquarian market.
Nice detail, but a coin with a dark tarnish / patina.
