Henry of Valois' silver franc—a large, silver, 16th-century coin.
It has a very attractive appearance. The surface shows slight wear, but the background retains a very nice luster.
The inscription reflects Valois’s claim to the Polish throne (POL REX—King of Poland).
The type features the date in the rim, below the king’s bust.
Toulouse Mint: the letter “M” below the bust and a dot below the fifth letter on both the obverse and reverse.
