One of the symbols of Sigismund III Vasa’s valuable trojak—the Vilnius trojak featuring a swan. This coin is sought after not only by trojak collectors but also by those who collect Royal Polish coins by type. It is rarely found on the market and, as a result, is absent from many collections.
Here it is in beautiful condition.
What sets this specimen apart is its preserved natural, mint-state background luster—a very rare feature for this issue. A lovely detail. A light, golden patina extending from the edge.
The type features the coat of arms of the Lithuanian Treasurer, Andrzej Zawisza, above the letter V (the designation of the Vilnius mint).
A variant with the king’s name in Arabic numerals, additionally in a rare version without rosettes below the date.
One of the most beautiful “swans” we’ve ever had in the company’s history.
