A very rare variant of the first 1,000-mark banknote from the Second Polish Republic.
It is a specimen of its first, highly prized type—without a series designation and featuring a six-digit serial number printed twice.
This is a proof with a zero serial number (000000), no series designation, and the word “WZÓR” printed diagonally in red on both sides. The overprint itself is characteristic of early versions of this banknote (running the entire length of the printed field, with a smaller “WZÓR” inscription between the individual lines).
It features the cream-colored paper characteristic of this type, with a honeycomb watermark.
A denomination very rarely found on the market.
